Product Shot Practice

Today in class we are putting our meager product shot knowledge to use!

We displayed our book covers on an Apple iPad device, then shot the product in a variety of ways.

This is an original shot taken of the beautiful Jessie Ren. As you can see, the image has a distracting yellow cast and there are some other distracting elements in the photo. Tyler is encouraging us to truly take authorship in these images and push it into a professional realm.

Here, I cut out the yellow cast and tidied up some noise in the photo, making the iPad the focal point of the image. The blue book cover contrasts nicely with the orange wall and green shirt, appearing vibrant.
