Final Stages of the iPad Book Covers

On Monday, we had a mid-progress critique on our book covers. Overall, my type choice and image were fairly solid. However, my type placement felt too separate from the image. Tyler and I discussed purposely separating the type for a new look.







Right now, I'm experimenting with a few styles of how to separate the titles out and give them a little more attention, while still having their voice remain relatively quiet. I'm not sure if an organic shape is better than the geometric one, or if the darker tone versus the blended tone is better. 

Opinions?

    I'd go with the simpler rectangle backdrop on your text. The others blend in with the background to much, having little contrast with the surface texture.
