Today we had a work day with one-on-one's with Marty. I presented the following spreads, taped up together as if it were in situ.
Overall, I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. My form is being driven by conceptual decisions, which is wonderful. There are still some awkward moments with white spaces that I need to resolve as well as some weird moments in the type. The best thing Marty said all day was that my rag was starting to look pretty good! Woo!
I'm feeling really good about my magazine. The images fit the text really well for some pretty small, but glorious serendipity. I do feel, however, that my infographics are still disconnected. The possess a different train of thought that is not being carried out in the magazine layout.
