I've been consistently struggling with my type in all of my classes. What I've learned helps me get over the "hump" was Marty's suggestion of several quick header studies (then building the composition off of that). In order for me to do well, I just have to produce and produce and produce, then pick the most successful stuff. I just wish it were easier to do for EVERY assignment, but it just isn't always practical.
This weekend, I'm beginning my studies with the header iterations, then building my compositions around that, and also using the feedback given in class.
I don't know if I say it enough, but I truly appreciate my peers and their feedback. They surprise me how... knowledgeable they are sometimes.
