The way today's assignment was set up was very beneficial. The systematic building process helped to establish focus and to not go crazy right out of the gate, like many of us like to do.
We explored leading, tabbing, style/weight, size, orientation, and finally a healthy combination of principles.

I'm starting to see where this project is going and I really enjoy the tone so far. The balance of in class / out of class work is a nice change of pace. It feels as though we are working on two projects, but the outcome of our exercises inform the final product.
I can only hope I'm doing the spirit of Cipe Pineles justice.
P.S. cipepineles.com is false. She passed in the early 90s, and so far, no fan sites have popped up.
